2nd Open Flemish "Unique" Inclusive I-Karate Global Championship

Dear Para-Karatekas, Parents, and Supporters,

We are delighted to invite you to our 2nd Open Flemish, Uniquely Inclusive I-Karate Global Championship on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in Hasselt, Belgium.

This special event is dedicated entirely to inclusivity and welcomes participants of all backgrounds and skill levels. Be sure to mark this date in your calendar!

Why is this championship unique?We have noticed that not everyone gets the opportunity to take part in our championships. That is why we are organizing this competition on a Wednesday, specifically so that care facilities and special education schools can also participate. To ensure everyone can join in, the competition will be simplified for these groups during the morning session. Participation in the afternoon program is also possible.

Participation for EveryoneThe competition is open to all, regardless of level or disability. After all, our philosophy in Para-Karate is: "Participating is winning."

We also feature the "Family Pairs Kata" category, designed specifically for siblings, parents, and grandparents. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy sports together as a family!

Practical Information

• Registration: Register by emailing eric.bortels@i-k-f.net.

• Entry Fees: €10 per person, plus €5 for each additional event. Entry for the Family Pairs Kata is free. For participants not affiliated with a care facility or school, the initial registration fee is €20 per person.

• Trophies: Every participant will receive a special trophy, as we believe it is vital that everyone feels recognized and valued.

• Lunch: Please bring your own packed lunch.
